After breakfast and packing our bags, we cycled to Cusco. Although the distance wasn’t that far, Jacques and I weren’t feeling so well (still having some intestinal problems from that stupid ice cream in Ayacucho). The climb to Cusco therefore was particularly unpleasant, not helped by the yapping dogs, but eventually, we had reached Cusco. Guided by Göran, we cycled to the hostel that he had stayed in a few years prior with his brother. When we left the suburbs behind and came closer to the centre, I could already begin to understand why Cusco attracted so many tourists: the colonial buildings in the city centre ooze charm and give the whole city (the centre that is) a cosy and pretty flair.
We checked into our hostel, where Dad had a nap and Göran and I did groceries for lunch/dinner. After a proper hot shower, we went to bed. We were all a bit tired despite the short distance cycled that day.
